Therapy Styles:
I have a Buddhist, Jungian and Archetypal orientation to my work with individuals and couples. What most guides me is a deep respect for listening to and bringing to non-judgmental consciousness all the parts of who you are. In my practice, there tends to be two types of people who come to do work with me.

One is a person, or couple, who is facing some immediate struggle that they need some help navigating through. They are looking for a broader perspective and the inner strength this challenge requires of them. It could be a relationship struggle at work or home, depression, trying to break through a vicious cycle of habitual behavior such as an eating disorder or an addiction to pot, TV, their computer or any other behavior that has taken over. Perhaps you have been stuck in an un-fulfilling job, or you are a writer or other artist who is creatively blocked. Maybe you’re a couple who is trying to learn how to better listen and communicate your needs around a particular stuck place in relationship. What is in common is a focus on this particular stretch of the road, and once you’ve broken through, we are done.

The second type is a person who comes in with an ordinary problem, like above, but you see it in the context of a larger consciousness journey. You probably have been in therapy before and are now looking for new tools, new inner maps for growing yourself over the long term. We may do family of origin work, dream analysis, healing through old grief and loss experiences, and / or healing from religious indoctrinations while recovering a meaningful spiritual life. We may even work together for a long time in an on-going way but now the work is focused more on your psycho-spiritual development and less on day to day problem solving. For you, I am your psycho-spiritual companion.

Areas of Expertise:
Working with people who are committed to living life more consciously, with more grace and self-acceptance. Often it’s painful events: difficulties at work, health issues, a loss, or relationship issues that bring us to this recognition: it’s time to surrender old paradigms so that we can be ourselves from a deeper place.
