Therapy Styles:
I incorporate different therapy styles and use homework assignments to specifically target the issues you bring to therapy so that you make progress both in and out of the session. My PhD from Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center is in Humanistic Psychology, an approach that values body, mind, and spirit, and addresses each for deep healing and self-actualization. My Clinical Hypnotherapy Certification is in Heart Centered Hypnosis from the Wellness Institute, and I received training in Past Life Regression Therapy from the International Association for Regression Research and Therapies. I continue in a hypnotherapy internship in which preparation for certification in Breath Work is part of the curriculum. I am a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, an energy-based healing method developed within the American Holistic Nurses Association. I use energy work for many different purposes including pain reduction, headache and migraine relief, accelerated healing from accidents, illness, and surgery, stress relief, and mood enhancement. In addition to the above, I use the energy psychotherapy methods of Thought Field Therapy, Tapas Acupressure Technique, Healing From The Body Level Up, and The Yuen Method.

Areas of Expertise:
I work with adults and adolescents to resolve issues that are keeping you from being as happy and productive as you want to be. These may include self-defeating behaviors, anxiety, stress, fears, phobias, eating disorders, physical pain, headaches and migraines, unplanned pregnancy, trauma, and depression.

Other information:

My personality and approach is that of the scientist and the metaphysician. The scientific part of me learns multiple methods and gathers data, and tests for outcomes through client feedback. In other words, is what we are doing working? My intention is to have you leave each session feeling that you have made tangible progress toward your goals.

The metaphysical part of me is just that -- the belief that there is more than the physical, that meaning, purpose, and spiritual connection are vital for a fulfilling life.
