Therapy Styles:
I believe that times of crisis, loss, illness and confusion can be the greatest openings for healing and transformation. A caring a supportive counselor can provide a safe place to honestly look at oneself and the situation and figure out where to go next. Based on your needs and goals, therapy may be short-term or longer term. It may be focused on finding practical solutions to specific problems, developing and honing skills, increasing knowledge and self-awareness and clarifying goals. Therapy can also take you into exploration of your deepest fears and to the origins of beliefs and behaviors that get in the way of having satisfying and meaningful relationships, lead to addictions or other destructive behaviors and prevent feeling truly alive. In all cases I create a warm, accepting and safe therapeutic environment in which clients feel seen and heard, learn to trust their own insights and strengths, learn to make healthier choices and to feel more authentic with a deeper connection with life. My therapeutic approach is influcenced by psychodynamic, interpersonal-relational, cognitive-behavioral, systems and somatic therapies and And because of my belief in the wisdom and wholeness of mind, body and spirit, I employ a spectrum of relaxation and stress management techniques, mindfulness meditation, guided imagery, somatic awareness and breathwork, and EMDR.

addictions, relationship conflict and navigating life transitions. I am a Level II EMDR Therapist and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Therapist.
